About
A discovery home for independent cinema
QNDB is an IMDb-style catalogue built specifically for independent films and series. Creators submit their work, our team reviews and approves it, and the public browses, searches, rates, reviews, and wishlists the titles that make it in.
It exists because independent cinema doesn’t have a dedicated, credible home for discovery — the mainstream databases bury it, and the streaming services mostly don’t carry it at all. We built QNDB to give small films the same seriousness of presentation, and the same honest rating system, that major releases already get.
Three audiences, one experience
Most of QNDB is built for the public browser — someone who arrives curious, wanting to find something they’d never stumble onto on a mainstream service. Behind that experience are two smaller groups: creators, who submit and manage their own titles, and our review team, who check submissions before they go live and moderate reports. Both exist to serve the browsing experience, not compete with it.
What “credible” means here
Every title on QNDB is reviewed before it’s published. Ratings come only from people who’ve signed in and verified their email — no anonymous drive-by scores. Reviews can be reported and are moderated. It’s a small catalogue by design: we’d rather be a trustworthy shelf than an infinite, noisy one.
